Loving or struggling relationships, career or business challenges, money concerns… you name it, one time or another we all go through difficult times that feel like rowing upstream.
Happiness is when our life can flow like a river – understanding that the rocks and rubble in the river are the blocks we need to navigate to safely reach the ocean.
The river does not fear the debris for its nature is to keep flowing… Our life must be like the flowing river if we truly wish to be happy.
But at times people find life extremely difficult, and the more they resist the rocks and rubble, the more pain and sorrow they experience.
Our human nature prefers to live easy lives, but many of us are caught in a bend or wave in the river and trapped in situations that cause unhappiness. This is especially compounded when we are also suffering from stresses such as physical or mental illnesses or career and financial troubles.

What is Life Coaching?
So often we are asked how life coaching differs from consulting?
Life coaching can be considered a form of consulting. However, when you hire a consultant you can expect that they have expertise based on the topic that you need help with. A life coach is a life specialist that will help you develop solutions in all areas of your career, business and personal life. Consultants will propose and introduce a solution and then leave you to implement them while a life coach stays with you to help you integrate the changes, new skills, and goals to make sure you make them happen.
This is the main reason why coaching is so effective. It is one thing to have the information and quite another to actually make the change!
How is Life Coaching different from Therapy?
Although life coaches will spend ample time listening to your life’s story they are not psychologists or psychotherapists and they do not work therapeutically solving past-based issues or traumas. If you are suffering from serious unresolved life issues, you will be encouraged to work with a therapist first – clearing the way for productive coaching.
That said, life coaches learn about many underlying blocked issues and then focus on the present and the client’s goals for the future. It is our job to help people move forward and set personal and professional goals that will give them the life they really want. Most life coaching clients are healthy, successful people who might be a bit stuck or simply want to make a big change in their lives and want the support of their own personal coach to do so.
If there is a gap between where you are now and where you want to be, then there is room for life coaching. The power of assessing where you are, and then creating solid goals with the ongoing support of your coach is to keep measurable accountability intact and makes a successful outcome secure.
Why struggle on your own when you can get what you want out of life in a fraction of the time with the structure, support, and tools of a skilled life coach?
In our first complimentary meeting, we will address and assess your current issues and concerns. We will then make recommendations or provide solid advice before you decide to go ahead and schedule a next meeting. You will be in charge of your next step.
